Abstract: Some stress testing methods that may be used in oil casings were summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of ultrasonic, magnetic memory, magneto-Barkhausen noise(MBN) and magnetic acoustic emission(MAE) methods were analyzed. It is indicated that magnetic memory method is much mature, easy to operate and it has high sensitivity, so it is the most utility one.
