Abstract: Taking reliable and effective qualitative and quantitative testing for the corrosion situation of the floor and wall of the general-pressure storage tank is very important to assure the safety-running of petrochemical industry and the gathering station of oil field. Some recent new technologies and equipments abroad used for the corrosion situation detection of the storage tank were introduced, such as the magnetic flux leakage testing technique for upper and back surface-corrosion with equipment Floormap 3D, ultrasonic guided wave testing technology for the tank floor detection, and also the corrosion detecting technique for the tank wall. It is valuable and effective for us to figure the present situation of the new techniques and equipments developed in abroad.
