Abstract: This thesis analyzes the selection and technics of the surface inspection methods to the important bearing members of the mine-use hoisting vessel. According to the prescribed standards in MT 684—1997 Specification of non-destructive inspection method & acceptance for important bearing members of mine-use hoisting vessel, the paper put forwards that aiming at the characteristics of magnetic particle testing, it can detect such significant parts as three-ring chains, car connecting bolts, wedge connector,s U-rings, clutch gear rims and so on. Furthermore, it can detect the dangerous defects such as the crack, etc. effectively.
