Abstract:
Pulsed eddy current array system has the advantages of rapid detection with large area. It can be used to detect metal surface crack automatically in real time. In the field of nondestructive testing, the imaging technology can be used to get the location and the size of the defects intuitively, which not only raise the efficiency of NDT work, but also greatly contribute to the popularity of nondestructive testing technology. This paper designed a set of PEC array measurement system, which included the pulsed eddy current array probes design and analysis, and an experimental system. A standard aluminum alloy sample was done by the NDT imaging system. At last, the image test result to the standard aluminum alloy sample was given. The future direction is given in the end.
