Abstract: The nondestructive testing technique used by leakage monitoring and testing of buried pipeline was reviewed. The principle, scope, advantages and disadvantages of the methods were discussed. The leakage monitoring methods of buried pipeline included in flux equity, negative pressure wave, sound wave, real-time model (RTM), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), laser optical fibre and cable testing methods. The leakage testing methods of buried pipeline included in sound wave, infrared imaging, laser scanning and flammable gas testing methods.
