Abstract: The sub-surface defect detecting method by DC magnetic yoke for compound steel sheet covered with stainless steel sheet was introduced, including the technology, processes, results, and repair methods. Magnetic particle method was proved possible for the defect detecting for the ferromagnetic materials base covered with stainless steel. The testing result was in good accordance with that of radiographic and ultrasonic testing result, so it showed good practical application value.
