Abstract:
Some in-situ non-destructive tests for large honeycomb components were undertaken and described in this paper. When environmental condition changed, our first-class equipment could no longer be sensitive,it was even difficult to make them work as normal as usual. The effects of surroundings disturbances were presented and the concerned solutions were found. The key point is to carry out testing always in the evening, and if in the case that working in day time is absolutely needed, then making a shade environment for the instruments and using canvas shield for the object to be detected is recommended. The measuring results show that the non-destructive testing on site for these assembly parts is successful.
