Abstract:
The relationships between Barkhausen signals in the 60 kg/m rail and the compressive stress are developed in terms of Barkhausen noise(MBN). The paper reports the design and implementation of MBN systems and its application for stress measurement. In the range of elastic limit, MBN average, RMS, counts decreases with the increase of compressive stress. The rate of changes gradually increases. The peak time of Barkhausen signal increases with the increase of compressive stress. MBN signals show the linear relationship with temperatures, and it can be used to detect stress value of rail at different temperatures.
