Abstract: In order to improve the detection rate of transverse cracks of acid gas pipeline weld joints and ensure the security and reliability of pipeline projects, this article, by taking the gas collection terminal remit pipe leak event of ground gathering and transportation engineering of Puguang Gas Field, this article analyzes the causes of remit pipe weld joints transverse cracks makes a comparison for results as tested by RT, UT, MP and PT. It proves that ultrasonic testing is the most effective method to transverse cracks of acid gas pipeline weld joints and provides reference for inspectors to promptly choose a correct testing method in the future.
