Abstract:
According to the fundamental principles of low strain reflection survey method and nonmetal ultrasonic transmission method, this paper will compare the experimental results using these two approaches in foundation pile examination aiming at confirming the pile defect type. After analyzing the results, this paper will introduce both advantages and shortages of these two methods in pile foundation integrality examination, thus suggesting that their integration could increase measurement precision. In practical use, the two approaches should better be combined in order to avoid undetected defect and ensure measurement precision.
