Abstract: The accidents caused by leak in the watercooled wall panels in power station boiler influences the plant safe and economical operation. Remote field eddy current inspection technology can be used to detect the defect in the inservice watercooled wall panels. The theory, characteristic and the detecting process of remote field eddy current inspection technology were presented. High performance eddy current inspection system with external multichannel probe was used for quality control on inservice watercooled wall panels in power station, and good results were achieved. The technology validated its effectiveness in quality supervision of power station boiler.
