Abstract: Steel girders and columns of construction are major components in the steel structure system. And their welding process, welded joint type and the bevel groove condition decide types of easily appearing defects. The steel girder and column welds inspection practice with reference to existing weld inspection standards were systematically analysed and collected. Girders and columns welded joint manual ultrasonic testing engineering factor, the inspection procedure, the detailed flaw discernment and whole set crack detection procedure were introduced.
