Abstract: Composites are widely used in the field of aviation. The shearography NDT technology, which has advantages of non-contact, full-field, rapid and high sensitivity, is extremely fit for the NDT of composites. The theory of the shearography testing is analyzed in this paper. The portable shearography device applicable for the field application is developed, and also the processing software is coded. Experimental results are satisfactory.
