Abstract: Through the stress analysis for turbine impeller of pumped storage power station, the most important stress parts were identified. Since the material of impeller was of stainless steel, so penetrant testing was determined the testing method. The key points of testing process such as pre-cleaning, penetrant, cleaning, imaging and observation were put forward, so as to through process controlling to control the testing quality.
