Abstract:
Acoustic emission(AE) system was used to monitor the compression damage of carbon-cloth/epoxy materials. The critical load of failure was acquired from the experimental correlogram of the loads and characters of the acoustic emission signals. Through wavelet packet analysis and spectrum analysis of acoustic emission signals, and energy analysis of every stage acquired from wavelet packet analysis in the compression damage evolution of carbon-cloth/epoxy materials, the frequency range of the acoustic emission sources of the fiber breakage, matrix fracture and delamination breakage signals were acquired.
