Abstract: The correlation between stress concentration and metal magnetic memory was studied by tension and compression experiments. The differential of the metal magnetic signal was found between tension and compression samples. In addition, the influence of plastic deformation was discussed. According to classic magnetomechanical experiment, a perfect explanation was given to the result.
