Abstract: The recent research advances in guided wave NDT technique based on magnetostrictive effect were reviewed. An important introduction about three thesis of progress in guided wave NDT technique based on magnetostrictive effect were given such as magnetostrictive sensor technology, guided wave property and guided wave signal processing. Some directions or issues which should be further researched and is benefit for this technique to be popularized and applied were put out also.
