Abstract:
Under certain conditions, a piezoelectric ceramic used in ultrasonic guided waves test can generate electromagnetic waves as a surface wave antenna. The antenna technology was applied to structural experiment of ultrasonic guided wave. Compared the signals received by the antenna with those by a piezoelectric ceramic it was obvious that they agreed well with each other, which meaned a surface wave antenna could effectively receive detection signals of ultrasonic guided wave. Meanwhile, the effect with the antenna position was researched, it found that, when the antenna was in a different location, the recieved signals were consistent at time axis, moreover, when it keeped destance to the sample, the signals were not significantly changed and the detection signals accord with the transmission character of surface waves.
