Abstract: In order to test the defects in austenitic stainless steel welds quantitatively and exactly, the reflection echo of artificial defects in reference block was measured, and the step of interpolation was chose by analyzing the shape of welds, then, the distance-amplitude curve was drawn, based on it, the practical testing echo was modified to test the defects quantitatively and exactly.
