Abstract:
In situ testing need not to disassemble equipment and structures. So it can save time and prevent from the breakdown and damage resulted from disassembly. In situ testing can be difficult for complicated object using single nondestructive testing method. It is an important approach to integrate several nondestructive testing methods. A new method to integrate endoscopy and eddy current testing was proposed. The hardware and software of the system to integrate endoscopy and eddy current testing was designed and achieved using virtual instrument. The crack of aeroengine labyrinth disc was detected in situ using this system. Testing results show that nondestructive testing to integrate endoscopy and eddy current testing can completely realize crack detection in situ for complicated metallic structures. This makes the method have the broad application foreground.
