Abstract:
Microwave reflection method, as an advanced nondestructive testing method, is very suitable for the moisture content detection of ancient buildings such as brick temples due to its characteristics of in-situ nondestructive testing, small equipment size, and requirement of only one detection surface. The northeast wall of the Daqin Temple Pagoda was inspected by using the microwave reflection method, and temperature and moisture content corrections were made. Experimental results proved that after temperature correction and moisture content correction, the microwave reflection method could obtain highly accurate moisture content detection results for brick temples. It was beneficial for the disease analysis and protection work of brick temples.
