Abstract:
This paper presented a new method for monitoring the operational status of wind turbine blades using digital image correlation and tracking (DIC-Tracking) technology. By combining localized speckle painting with the DIC-Tracking algorithm, this method achieved real-time, non-contact monitoring of wind turbine blade hub misalignment, deformation, and crack propagation. Experiments demonstrated that this method could accurately track the condition of the blades with a precision exceeding 95%, offering advantages such as ease of operation, low cost, and strong adaptability. This method provided an efficient and economical solution for early diagnosis and maintenance of wind turbine blades.
