Abstract:
Artifacts are essential in industrial CT images. Some artifacts are inherent and cannot be eliminated in CT physics and mathematics, while others can be weakened or eliminated by changing process parameters.Therefore, the authors introduced the causes of several common artifacts in industrial CT images by using artifact reference block, and reduced the influence of artifacts by adjusting parameters.The results showed that the causes of artifacts in industrial CT were related to factors such as filters, magnification, number of sampling sheets, calibration of rotation centers, software calibration, and fixtures for the tested samples.
