Abstract:
Comprehensive analysis of pipe defects based on multi-source data alignment has become an important component of integrity evaluation for pipeline. Taking a product oil pipeline in central China as the research object, this paper integrated that multi-source data of product oil pipeline including internal and external inspection, excavation verification, and some information about river crossing, high-consequence area and other key pipeline sections, the data alignment and comprehensive analysis were conducted, the overall integrity of this section of pipeline is thoroughly understood, active defect points and abnormal welds of the pipeline were identified, and the causes of defects at key locations were analyzed. The targeted recommendations for the next round of inspection and risk reduction were provided to effectively ensuring the safe operation of the pipeline.
