Fatigue life evaluation of friction stir welding joints based on nonlinear ultrasonic inspection

摘要: 焊接接头疲劳寿命的分析与估算一直是轨道交通车辆设计与制造过程中的难点,现有估算方法一般基于有限元仿真进行计算,估算结果往往得不到有效验证。提出了一种疲劳寿命的超声检测与评价方法,对不同疲劳阶段的焊接试件进行了非线性超声检测,提取了等效非线性系数用于评价疲劳损伤的累积程度,根据该参数与疲劳寿命的相关关系构建了基础数据库,并据此基于贝叶斯定理评价了搅拌摩擦焊接头的疲劳寿命。该方法具有低成本、高可靠性等优点,可望推动疲劳寿命评价方法的技术发展。Abstract: The analysis and estimation for fatigue life of welds have always been difficult in the design and manufacture of rail transit vehicles. The existing estimation methods are generally based on finite element simulation, whose results are often not validated effectively. An ultrasonic inspection and evaluation method for fatigue life estimation was proposed. Nonlinear ultrasonic inspection was performed on the specimens with welds in different fatigue stages. An equivalent nonlinear coefficient was proposed to evaluate the fatigue damage, and the relationship between this parameter and the fatigue life was utilized to construct a database. The fatigue life of the friction stir welding joints was evaluated based on this database according to the Bayesian Theorem. This method has the advantages of low cost and high reliability, and is expected to help promote the technical innovation of fatigue life evaluation methods.
