Application of comparison test block for TOFD testing of continuous sharp angle artificial defects

摘要: 在对较厚工件进行TOFD (超声波衍射时差法)分区检测时,通常需要使用对比试块来进行深度的校准和检测灵敏度的确定。现在通用的TOFD对比试块在进行厚工件检测灵敏度参数设置验证、二区以后A扫描深度范围的验证、时间窗口深度范围内相对应的A扫描波幅幅值差验证时,其结果并不理想。笔者设计了一种连续尖角人工缺陷对比试块,该对比试块制作较为方便经济,形状较小,使用简单,能够准确地对TOFD检测所需要的深度进行覆盖,且能够对深度覆盖范围内A扫描波幅幅值差以及检测灵敏度进行验证。Abstract: When performing TOFD zone testing on thicker workpieces, it is usually necessary to use a contrast test block for depth calibration and detection sensitivity determination. However, when the general TOFD comparison test block is used for the verification of the detection sensitivity parameter setting of thick workpieces, the verification of the A-scan depth range after the second zone, and the verification of the corresponding A-scan wave amplitude difference within the depth range of the time window, the results are not ideal. The author designed a continuous sharp-angled artificial defect comparison test block. The comparison test block, being small in shape and simple in use, is more convenient and economical to make and it can accurately cover the depth required for TOFD inspection and also cover the depth range. The A-scan amplitude difference and detection sensitivity are verified.
