Abstract: This article outlines the advantages of the full matrix capture (FMC) and total focus method (TFM) technology compared to conventional PAUT(phased array ultrasonic testing), explores alternative data acquisition and imaging techniques, and discusses the calibration of key parameters. Some typical application cases were analyzed, which were expected to provide a useful reference for the standardization of the general use of the FMC and TFM technology.
