Abstract: The ultrasonic beam coverage is a common topic in ultrasonic testing standards. We demonstrated a new method of detecting the ultrasonic beam coverage of wind power forgings. By measuring the beam width of standard ultrasonic probe applied in the test, we are able to detect the ultrasonic beam coverage precisely and guarantee the full coverage. Thus, our method can provide reference for peers.
