Long-distance structural health monitoring of buried pipes based on torsional guided wave T(0,1)

摘要: 针对不同变形模式压电换能器激发与接收管道中基频扭转导波T(0,1)的特点,设计了一种一发一收式T(0,1)波压电环形阵列。其中,厚度剪切d15模式的压电圆环用于T(0,1)波的激发,面内剪切d24模式的压电圆环用于T(0,1)波的接收。试验验证了这种换能器激发T(0,1)波的信噪比和T(0,1)波在埋地管道中的衰减。结果表明,该换能器对不同涂层埋地管道的探测距离超过20 m,在埋地管道的长距离结构健康监测中具有很好的应用前景。Abstract: In this paper, a pitch-catch piezoelectric ring array was proposed for generation and reception of the fundamental torsional wave T(0,1) in pipes according to the performance of piezoelectric transducers with different deformation mechanism. Thickness-shear d15 piezoelectric ring array was employed for T(0,1) wave generation while face-shear d24 piezoelectric ring array was adopted for T(0,1) wave reception. Experiments were carried out to investigate the signal-to-noise ratio of T(0,1) wave generated by the proposed transducer and the wave attenuation in buried pipes. Results indicated that the proposed transducer could detect buried pipes with different coatings over 20 m, which was very suitable for long-distance structural health monitoring of buried pipes.
