Abstract: The paper introduces a radiographic pipe crawler remote control coding scheme, which is to issue the amplitude shift keying (ASK) transmission command by using an electromagnetic sensor through the pipe wall, thus replacing the instruction sending method depending on the operator proficiency. The system can control the internal pipeline crawler just through pushing a button to issue action commands, such as forward, back, rest, exposure time, and adjusting exposure etc., making the operation of the equipment very convenient.
