Nonlinear Ultrasonic Characterization of Pearlite Transformation

摘要: 珠光体的过度球化会导致材料力学性能的下降,常规线性超声检测技术对材料的组织变化不敏感。采用不同的热处理工艺对T8钢试样进行处理,得到不同球化状态的珠光体组织,并建立了珠光体组织转变的非线性超声测量系统,试验测定了相应的非线性参数β。结果表明,随着珠光体球化程度增加,声速和衰减系数无明显变化,而非线性参数β呈现显著增加的趋势,可对材料的组织演化进行表征。Abstract: Over-spheroidization of pearlite will cause the degradation of material mechanical properties, whereas the conventional linear ultrasonic testing is not sensitive to this microstructure change. To achieve different spheroidization states of pearlite, different heat treatment profiles were applied to T8 steel samples. The nonlinear coefficient β was measured correspondingly by the experimental system. Results showed that there was no notable change in ultrasonic velocity and attenuation coefficient with the increase of the spheroidization degree of pearlite. However, the nonlinear coefficient β showed a significant increase and it can be used to characterize the microstructure evolution of the material.
