Identification and Utilization of Transformed Wave in TOFD Parallel Scanning

  • 摘要: 基于超声波波型转换理论,提出了TOFD(Time of Flight Diffraction)检测平行扫查结果中变型波的识别与应用方法.对TOFD检测平行扫查中接收到的横波衍射信号的到达时间进行计算,并绘制了变型波到达时间随扫查距离变换的函数.结合数值模拟结果,对平行扫查图像中变形波信号的图谱特征进行分析,提出利用TOFD检测平行扫查图像中变型波的交点以提高衍射点定位精度的结论.最后,分析了厚度48 mm钢板的TOFD检测平行扫查中出现的缺陷变型波信号,验证了所提出的变型波识别与应用方法在实际检测中的应用价值.
    Abstract: The identification and utilization of transformed wave in TOFD parallel scanning was researched based on the theory of ultrasonic wave transformation.The arrival time of shear wave in TOFD parallel scanning was calculated,and the function curve of arrival time of transformed wave against changes of scanning movement was drawn.By means of analysis of parallel scanning image features and in combination with numerical simulation,it was proposed that using the intersections of transformed wave to improve the locating precision of diffraction point.Lastly,the transformed wave in experiment on 48.0 mm thick steel plate was studied,and the method of identification and utilization of transformed wave proposed by the article was validated to have high application value.
