Acoustic Emission Characteristics of C/SiC Composite during Tensile Test

    • Acoustic emission (AE) was used during monotonic tensile tests to analyze the tensile behavior and damage evolution of C/SiC composite. A multi-parameters approach was introduced to analyze damage evolution, different damage phases and types of damage by AE data. The frequency of AE signals was also differentiated to recognize the different AE sources. Critical damage stress described with AE cumulate energy was also defined.
