    Simulation and Visualization of the Radiated Acoustic Field of Ultrasonic Transducers

    • Knowing the acoustic field distribution of ultrasonic transducers is of vital importance to the improvement of testing accuracy and sensitivity and the optimization of inspection parameters. In order to analyze the acoustic field of ultrasonic transducers more directly and to understand better the generation and propagation mechanism of ultrasound, the radiated acoustic field of ultrasonic transducers is simulated and visualized by means of multi-Gaussian beam model. Moreover, an acoustic field simulation program is developed featured with a friendly graphic user interface. The experimental results demonstrate that the simulation can represent the distribution of the acoustic field actually and exactly.
