    Ultrasonic Inspection for the Austenitic Welds of Thick and Different Steel

    • The problem of ultrasonic inspection in coarse crystal grain of Austenite stainless steel weld is a big headache in the Nondestructive testing field. The item of ultrasonic inspection for the welded joints by Nickel-Steel in different steel materials is more troublesome than ever. Wave model, frequency, wafer and value K were got by experiment. According to the standard JB/T 4730.3—2005, the probe and reference block were designed and formed, and the inspection project was edited in order to solve the problem of the varied acoustical performance by anisotropy in the welds. The practical testing supplied us experience for the same products and dated examination.
