Automatic Ultrasonic Testing Equipment Configuration in ERW Pipe of Oil and Gas Transmission

This paper introduces automatic ultrasonic testing equipment configuration during the use of Electric Resistance Welding in oil and gas transmission, and focuses on the automatic ultrasonic test equipment in process of ERW, as well as instruments, methods, probe selection and installation, production of reference blocks and sensitivity inspection. The reliable high-speed but low-cost automatic ultrasonic testing ensures the quality of oil and gas transmission with ERW.
