Structure Integrity Evaluation and Safety Valuations of Multi-Layer High Pressure Tanks According to TOFD and AE Technology

Totally 21 cracks in the weld on the outside wall were examined out in three multi-layer high pressure tanks periodical inspection, the weld was examined by MT and TOFD after repaired. The structure integrity evaluation and safety valuations of multi-layer high pressure tanks was carried on by AET, and it was concluded that the tanks would continue to be used. TOFD technique and AE technique can be combined in the complex pressure vessel, especially in extended service, periodical inspection to evaluate the structure integrity.
