Finite Element Simulation on Ferromagnetic Tubes Testing Using Pulsed Remote Field Eddy Current Technique

    • Testing of ferromagnetic tube using pulsed remote field eddy current technique was researched. The finite element method was used to make detailed analysis of the effects on variations of the parameters of the detection system. Results showed that this technique combined advantages of remote field eddy current and pulsed excitation effectively, and that it could not only collect more detection information, including measurements of inner diameter of tubes, internal defects and external defects, but also had the strengths of high signal amplitude and lower power consumption.
