Active Lamb Wave Scanning Synthetic Damage Imaging Method for Aluminum Plate

    • Active Lamb wave damage time reversal imaging method with single actuator is only sensitive to the direction faced to the actuator. It will bring false damage points and influence the damage evaluation. Scanning synthetic damage imaging method was proposed. Piezoelectric element was selected one by one to act as the actuator. It could illuminate the damage from multi directions. All sensing signals were synthetically used to image and monitor the damage. Experiment on the aluminum plate structure illustrated that the method could not only eliminate the false damage points and directionality, but also improve the veracity and stability.
