The Ultrasonic Inspection for Thick Wall Cylinder Body

The ultrasonic shear wave technique with contact method for the detection of longitudinal imperfection in ring and pipe type products of wall thickness/outer diameter ratio being over 0.2 was tested. Special transformed shear wave method was used during testing. In the premise that the product was scanned by pure shear wave with 45°angle of refraction and signal/noise ratio and test sensitivity were insured, the whole wall of product was inspected effectively and reliably.
