Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing for the Trucks Wheel Hub

According to the failure characteristics of one trucks wheel hub, the reason of the failure was analyzed and preventive testing was used on the same kinds of reserve wheel hubs. Through comparing the application with conventional ultrasonic testing with ultrasonic phased array inspection technique, and the retesting with RT, the advantages of ultrasonic phased array inspection technique were summarized, including the increase the rafe of detection, high inspection sensitivity, visual image and high speed, and so on.
