Development of Magnetostrictive Guided Wave Testing Software

Based on the analysis of characteristics of the magnetostrictive guided wave testing, the guided wave testing software is developed using Visual Studio 2008 as the integrated development environment. The software consists of dispersion module, simulation module, data acquisition module, signal analysis module, testing reports module, and so on, which provides the functions of computing dispersion curves, predicting signals, optimizing sensors arrangement, exciting signal, collecting data, analyzing signal, generating testing reports, and so on. The experimental results show that the software in combination with the hardware instruments is of practicability which can be effectively applied to detect the pipelines and the cables.
