Abstract
In order to give a reference in ultrasonic nondestructive testing program development process and analyze test results, the propagation of surface waves was simulated by using finite element method. According to the principle of surface wave excitation, the finite element model of surface wave transducer was established. And then, using general-purpose finite element software for loading and solving, the speed data of wave was extracted and the situation of wave conversion after surface wave encountered defect was analyzed. At last, the verification experiment was given out. Compared with theoretical data and experiment results, it showed that the method was correct and reliable.
