Abstract
A tube-side testing with a full-tube automatic ultrasonic flaw detection system was destgned. The system consisted of ultrasonic probes, ultrasonic flaw detector device, image tracking system, PLC electrical control system and the entire tube testing mechanical devices composed of the weld flaw detection and mother material testing combined into one, to achieve full tube coil automated ultrasonic flaw detection. A seam tracking device was added in the post weld pipe end detection device, and the base metal pipe and test device was followed by the end pipe inspection device, the base metal pipe end probe body and the tube header detection system in order to achieve tube side auto detection to solve the tube side blind spot problems and improve the detection rate, to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the detection coil and to reduce the manpower resource costs.
