    The Relationship Between Effective Hardened Layer Depth and Barkhausen Noise of Gear Material

    • Carburization and heat treatment process of gear determines its abrasion resistance and fatigue strength. The reasonable effective hardened layer depth can improve the bearing capacity of gear and prolong its service life. Barkhausen noise detection method is used to analyze effective hardened layer depth. Testing results show that Barkhausen noise signal will diminishing with the increase of the effective hardened layer depth of the gear material.
