Defect Recognition in Ultrasonic Infrared Thermography

    • Ultrasonic infrared thermography technology(UIRT) is a novel effective nondestructive testing technique combined with ultrasonic and infrared. Auto-recognition of defects could improve the efficiency of the technique. According to the characteristics of the heat transfer around the defect presented, a method was used to find the signals of defects. A series of UIRT images as an instance was processed, and the results illustrated that the method was effective.
