The Application of Ultrasonic Testing in Pipeline Welds Corrosion

According to the structure of weld corrosion, this document mainly analyses the reflectiving of ultrasonic eches by weld corrosion, the horizontal and depth position of echo in weld, the height of echo waves and the differences from defects. At last, a series of ultrasonic testing identification and judgment methods toward corrosion were put forward, in order to judge the integrity of pipeline welds effectively and master the pipeline security situation.
