Quantitative Evaluation of the Cavity Defects in CFST Arch Bridge Using Ultrasonic Testing

    • The arch structure of concrete filled steel tube has been widely applied in large-span bridge structure for its performance advantages, but the defects in concrete filled steel tube structure directly affect the quality of bridge, damage the bearing capacity and durability of the Bridges. Through the nondestructive testing technology, the monitoring and testing of the quality of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge is vital. By combining with the real engineering project, this paper discussed the qualitative and quantitative analysis of cavity defects in CFST arch bridge applying on the first wave of sound method, verified its validity and provided reference for relative engineerings.
