    An Optical Fiber Acoustic Emission Sensing System Based on the Fiber Fused Tapered and Coupling Technique and Its Application

    • An optical fiber acoustic emission sensing system based on the fiber fused tapered and coupling technique was introduced. Its working frequency was 20 ~ 180 kHz and the effective peak sensitivity was about -55 dB ref 1 V/μbar. This sensing system could effectively detect the ultrasound signal of partial discharge. It was proved to be suitable for online monitoring of the electric power equipments safety.
