Water Layer Influence on Radiographic Testing of Safe End Weld Seam

    • During the radiographic testing(RT) for reactor pressure vessel(RPV) nozzle safe end weld in CPR-1000 nuclear power plant, water layer of nozzle has some influence on this inspection. Through some specific testing, the paper focuses on the relationship between film density, the sensitivity of RT and different water layers. The results show that when the layer thickness increases, the sensitivity will be reduced but still meet the requirements of RCCM.
